Yes, Fuckhead, tonight!
It took 40 years, but hell froze over last Thursday.
Keith did something that has eluded HNP goaltenders for 1360 weeks...
It's still hard to say the word, there have been so many so close for so long. Somehow someone always managed to blow it, or someone else took it upon themselves to end it. When it finally happened, it was surreal.
This was like a Pinto that got rear-ended and didn't explode, like a warm can of PBR that didn't suck, it was like dropping your phone in the toilet and having it still work. It was like Sarah Palin completing a coherent sentence, like Carlos Marmol throwing a strike in April, like Cristobal Huet standing up. It was the very definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, but this time it WAS different.
The cool part?
It was a father and son duel that saw junior pull his Adrian AuGroin,
and dad putting on a clinic when he needed to. The score was way closer than it looked. Congrats to all who participated on both sides, and good luck to the goaltender who hasn't been born yet that'll get the next one.
103 to go...
Rumor has it the Blue team was particularly amped up due to the lack of beer in locker room 2.
Homeland security has officially removed HNP from their watchlist, as no one claimed responsibility.
Perhaps this week there will be pre-game brew,
which will lead to the usual alcohol induced defensive meltdown in the third period.
Once again there was a beautiful sheet of ice to start the game, although it was in liquid form in the east end crease for most of the warm up.
Good thing for Keith, but Vic couldn't make it last week. Altar boy practice once again took precedence. Also missing, Terry was in Oregon donating his skills as hostage negotiator, helping the gubmint work out a truce with the Bundy boys and Y'all Qaeda.
Nobody ever wanted to be the first team to post a goose egg, but Casper took it pretty personal.
There was the obligatory stick smash, in full El Kabong style...
Between Casper and Michael, there's a bit of a storage problem brewing in the back room...
